Tepezza

What is Tepezza?

Tepezza (teprotumumab-trbw) is a prescription medication used to treat Thyroid Eye Disease (TED). It reduces and improves the signs and symptoms of TED, including: eye bulging, double vision, eye pain, redness, and swelling.

How does Tepezza Work?

Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) is a serious and potentially vision-threatening condition. When you have TED, a switch behind the eye called a receptor gets turned on. This causes your immune system to mistakenly attack the muscle and fat tissue behind your eyes. Tepezza blocks this receptor. By blocking the receptor, Tepezza reduces muscle and fat tissue swelling, which can reduce and improve the symptoms of TED.

A full course of treatment with Tepezza is 8 infusions, given once every 3 weeks.
